The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS)

The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) (www.ndcs.org.uk) is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. It represents the interests and campaigns for the rights of all deaf children and young people from birth until they lead independent lives. The NDCS website is the most comprehensive online source of information about deaf children and their education in the UK. Some of the introductory sections are also presented in BSL. NDCS Scotland (http://www.ndcs.org.uk/family_support/support_in_your_area/scotland) has an office in Glasgow and a team including Family Officers, a Policy and Campaigns Officer and a BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Officer.
