Please note: This could mean for example asking potential suppliers how they would meet the particular needs of diverse sections of the community. This requirement must be made clear as early as possible in the procurement process. For example, when bidding for a public contract intended to help unemployed people back into work, a company might, in addition to making a competitive bid, provide additional quality by offering tailored programmes for those who are particularly disadvantaged in the labour market, such lone parents or certain ethnic minorities.
