Please provide any additional comments. For example, why you think impact assessment should only be on key policies/services?

Please note: Whilst we think that an authority needs to be able to demonstrate how it is mainstreaming equality across all its interests and should be having due regard to equality in all that it does; we believe that it should focus its impact assessment on key services and policies and in relation to key strategic and spending decisions. A public authority should be able to demonstrate how equality has been considered from the outset and throughout the process and what difference has been made as a result.
